About Me
Product Specialist with a history in logistics & customer service, product analysis, data engineering & analytics, Information Science, and culminating in Information Architecture & UX/UI Design, based in Denver, CO. Mildly obsessed with making Things work for Humans, not the other way around (the human should not be within a computer loop; computers should be used only to aid in the process of humanity). I ideate and iterate for fun, not just in design. I like things to be what they are: I order my burgers without vegetables because I ordered a hamburger; vegetables have their own (necessary) time and place. Strip It™️ down to its essence, make the thing what it is; the accoutrements shouldn’t overpower the main course, whether it’s a burger, a feature on a webpage, or that webpage serving the greater purpose of a whole site.
I took substantial time off from work due to burnout and found balance moving back to CO from CA to put down roots, and had epiphanies about Information Science and Design around the same time as I started my family. When not obsessing over form following function, you’ll find me spending QT with them and doing the fairly stereotypical CO things of hiking, fishing, generally being outdoors, gushing over live music, reading, and going down Wikipedia rabbit holes of credible articles (I have an MLIS, after all). And sure, those are pretty typical pastimes for Colorado but hey, I’ve been doing those things since I was a wee lad; ain’t gonna stop because other folks joined the party.
